3 days and counting!

My obsession with the Steamboat weather and our epic snow this season will sadly end on Sunday.  For one of the last times I checked the base total thus far and to my pleasant surprise saw 486 inches!!  A record crushing 500 inches is not out far out of our reach.  The weather forecast is not calling for snow in the next three days, however it is currently starting to snow lightly.  We are sure to end our season with a bang, either great sunny spring skiing or some fresh champagne powder snow!!

With all this snow can we muster the troops and talk the resort into staying open 1 extra week? We will be in town from Michigan. We’ll ski somewhere. . . but alas not Steamboat. What a shame! Unless the skiers prevail [not Vail] and the owers/operators keep it open. We sure would be happy if they did. We’ll have fun one way or the other. It’s our Spring Break, wish we could ski every day at Steamboat. Doug in GR,MI
